Now pom pom chicks are also a great craft idea for Easter and would look great in any Easter basket gift or display. And best of all they’re an easy kids craft idea for pres-school children to make and take home to show their parents.

You can [BUY] the yellow pom poms in bulk from amazon and they are pretty cheap too. And you might already have some googly eyes on hand, but you can find them on Amazon too.

I really love how these cute little chicks turned out, and I know you’ll enjoy making them with your kids.

Anyway, let’s get started.

How to Make a Pom Pom Chick

First, let’s get everything ready so you can leave the little ones to get busy and avoid all those interruptions.

Skill Level – Easy

Time Required – 15 minutes

What you will need

• Large yellow pom poms  [BUY]
• Small yellow pom poms [BUY]
• Googly eyes [BUY]
• Orange foam sheet [BUY]
• Glue
• Scissors

Step 1

First, using a scrap of your orange foam sheet cut out the base for your pom pom chick in the shape if feet.  I found cutting one piece for the base but forming the feet works best as the pom poms are more stable when you start glueing.

Step 2

Next, glue the larger pom pom to the base so you can just see the feet popping out of the bottom.

Step 3

Using a smaller pom pom for the head glue on your googly eyes. A toothpick or matchstick is handy when doing this task if you have big fingers.

Step 4

Then using a scrap of orange foam cut out a small triangle for the beak and glue into place.

Step 5

Glue your head onto the top of the body and you are finished making this easy Pom Pom Chick.

These chicks are great for decorating your Easter baskets or bonnets and are a lot of fun to make.
