How to Make a Toilet Paper Roll Reindeer

Toilet Paper Roll Reindeer

Today we’re making a Toilet Paper Roll Reindeer.

With Christmas right around the corner, the kids seem to be super excited about the occasion.

And why not?

This is that time of the year when they get to make their own craft toys and share it with their friends.

Also, kids love Santa and his reindeer. So, what if we can help them make a reindeer out of nothing but a toilet paper roll?

The idea seems great, right? All you need to do is follow these simple instructions and your toilet paper roll reindeer will be ready in no time.

So let’s get started.

How to Make a Toilet Paper Roll Reindeer

First, let’s get everything ready so you can leave the little ones to get busy and avoid all those interruptions.

Skill Level – Easy

Time Required – 15 minutes

What you will need

  • Toilet paper rolls
  • Brown paint
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Googly eyes
  • Pom pom
  • Ribbon / bell
  • Glue
  • Scissors

Step 1

After all the items are ready, first start with the toilet paper roll and select a paint of your choice. Now, paint the empty roll completely. I would recommend using a dark brown shade, to resemble the reindeer.

Step 2

Next up, keeping both your thumbs on the top of the roll and press slightly towards the center and bend inwards. Then do this on the opposite side of the top.  This will make the ears for your toilet paper roll reindeer.

Step 3

Cut the pipe cleaner into two equal halves. Now, swirl each of these on a pencil and slide off. Add a little glue, on the inside of the top of the toilet paper roll and stick the antlers inside then fold back down.

Step 4

Now comes the best part, making the face.

Using the glue once again, stick the googly eyes and use the pom pom for a nose on the front of the toilet roll. Then, cut the ribbon and tie around the body. You could also use a little bell if you have one handy.
