Learn How to Make this Concertina Paper Unicorn

Concertina paper craft always looks great and is fun to make, so let’s learn how to make this Concertina Paper Unicorn. You’ll just need a single sheet of paper and then some pretty craft elements to use for decorations.

The results can be quite amazing, and who doesn’t love Unicorns right now?

And when completed you can make a few variations to this unicorn craft idea, by adding a large popsicle stick to make it into a fan or even cut out a few eye holes and turn it into a mask.

Your kids will love this Paper Unicorn craft idea and once they learn about folding concertinas you can expect them to keep asking for more and more paper to explore the ideas racing around in their heads.

Anyway, let’s get started.

How to Make a Paper Unicorn

Concertina paper UnicornFirst, let’s get everything ready so you can leave the little ones to get busy and avoid all those interruptions.

Skill Level – Easy

Time Required – 15 minutes

What you will need

  • Construction paper
  • Glitter card
  • Yarn or string
  • Paper flowers
  • Glue

Step 1

First, concertina fold 2 pieces of A5 construction paper approx 1/2in each fold.

Next, glue the 2 pieces together. Fold up the paper and tie together then center the string so when you glue the sides together they are even.  Next, glue the sides up forming a circle.

When you have formed your base it’s time to make the nose, ears and a glittery horn for the unicorn.  Cut out your shapes and glue in place to the front of the face.

Place your flowers in front of the ears and horn just covering the bottom of each. If you don’t have any flowers just check out the video below which shows you have to make these easy paper flowers.

Then cut out 2 circles for the eyes and glue to your face and you are done.
