So let’s get started.

How to Make Toilet Paper Roll Cat

First, let’s get everything ready so you can leave the little ones to get busy and avoid all those interruptions.

Skill Level – Easy

Time Required – 15 minutes

What you will need

  • Toilet paper rolls
  • Black / orange / white paint
  • Black pipe cleaners
  • Sticky tape
  • Scissors

Step 1

First decide what size you would like to make your cats and trim your toilet rolls to suit, then you need to paint them black. For a nicer finish paint inside the top of the toilet paper roll.  Let Dry.

Step 2

Now gently press the top of your toilet roll towards the center using your thumbs, this will form the ears of the cat. Turn the toilet paper roll around and press the other side towards the center.

Step 3

Make a small hole at the back of the toilet roll about 1 inch from the bottom and push the pipe cleaner through. Use a small piece of tape on the inside of the toilet roll to keep the pipe cleaner fixed flat against the paper roll.

Now cut the pipe cleaner to the length of the tail you require and curl the end.

Step 4

One more step and then you’re done.  Paint the face of the toilet paper roll cat. If you don’t have a small paint brush have your kids use a toothpick.

Toothpicks are great for work as you can draw a straight line without the flexibility of a brush.
