How to Make a Toilet Paper Roll Spider

First, let’s get everything ready so you can leave the little ones to get busy and avoid all those interruptions.

Skill Level – Easy

Time Required – 20 minutes

What you will need

  • Toilet paper rolls
  • Colored paint
  • Googly Eyes
  • White pipe cleaner
  • Scissors

Step 1

First you need to make the legs. Decide how big or small you would like to make your body.  Then make two cuts about 1 cm apart up to that point  and cut a cross the top so you have cut out a section for the front.

Now repeat for the opposite side of the toilet paper roll for the back.

Step 2

It’s time to create the legs. On each section cut up to the body three times to make four legs on each side.

Fold the legs up so the are flat against the body of the spider.  Then fold them down half way for the first joint.

You are nearly there you just need to make the feet. Fold back up the leg about 1 cm.

This shapes the legs for the toilet paper roll spider.

Step 3

Now it’s time to get the paints out. Firstly paint the inside of the body of the Toilet Paper Roll Spider and then paint the outside.

Let dry before you paint the legs.

Step 4

Once dry turn the Toilet Paper Roll Spider upside down and paint inside the legs then the outside and let dry.

For something different pain the feet or legs a different color.

Step 5

To put the finishing touches on your Toilet Paper Roll Spider folder a 3 cm piece of pipe cleaner in half and glue to the bottom of the body.  Add your googly eyes and don’t forget to paint your spiders mouth.
