How to Make Patty Pan Flowers

First, let’s get everything ready so you can leave the little ones to get busy and avoid all those interruptions.

Skill Level – Easy

Time Required – 15 minutes

What you will need

  • Popsicle sticks
  • Colored paper / paint
  • Colored patty pans
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • White / colored paper
  • Optional – buttons, cotton wool, punches, paper flowers, glitter

Step 1

Pull out a clean piece of paper for your child to glue their patty pan flowers on.

Step 2

Get them to choose which color patty pans they want to use along with the popsicle sticks which are used for the stems.

Step 3

Position the patty pans and popsicle sticks on the paper and when your child is happy with their design glue them to the paper. Cut out some leaves and glue them to the stems.

Step 4

Now it’s time for the fun part of decorating the patty pan flowers. This is only limited to your child’s imagination and what is in your craft kit. Maybe you have some buttons or stickers they can use. They could try punching out some different shapes and sticking them on. There’s no right or wrong it’s all about having fun.

Once your child has decided on their design for the patty pan flowers glue them to the patty pans and let dry.

There you have it, an easy craft project for your child to proudly display around the house.
