Here’s a fun craft idea that’s easy to make and only limited by your child’s imagination, Toilet Roll Monsters. These rainbow coloured Monsters are made with paper towel rolls cut into different sizes or toilet paper rolls which are covered in a colored paper then decorated as crazy as your child can imagine.

How to Make Toilet Roll Monsters

First, let’s get everything ready so you can leave the little ones to get busy and avoid all those interruptions.

Skill Level – Easy

Time Required – 15 minutes

What you will need

• Paper towel rolls / toilet paper rolls
• Colored paper / paint
• Googly eyes
• Glue
• Scissors
• Felt tip pens
• Optional – wool, glitter, chenille sticks

Step 1

If you are using paper towel rolls cut to the required sizes for your rainbow monsters.

Step 2

Have your child to select the color paper or paint for their rainbow monster. If using colored paper cut it the same size as the paper roll and tape the ends together. If you are using paint leave to dry before decorating your monster.

Step 3

Now for the fun part, decorating your rainbow monster. Get out your googly eyes and go crazy. Cut up some scraps of paper or wool to make the hair, draw on your mouth and you are finished. There’s no right or wrong and these rainbow monsters are only limited by your child’s imagination.

Step 4

Once you have shown your child how to make the rainbow monsters they can keep on going until they have enough to play with.
