How to Make Toilet Paper Roll Bat

 

Do you have some spare toilet rolls around the house and are looking for a Halloween craft idea?  Check out this easy kids craft idea on How to Make a Toilet Paper Roll Bat. You just need a little paint, googly eyes and some extra card for the wings. Make one or make many and you can use them for your Halloween Decorations.

So let’s get started.

How to Make Toilet Paper Roll Bat

First, let’s get everything ready so you can leave the little ones to get busy and avoid all those interruptions.

Skill Level – Easy

Time Required – 15 minutes

What you will need

  • Toilet paper rolls
  • Black paint
  • Black glitter card
  • Googley eyes
  • Glue
  • Scissors

Step 1

First decide what size you would like to make your bats and trim your toilet rolls to suit, then you need to paint them black. For a nicer finish paint inside the top of the toilet paper roll.  Let Dry.

Step 2

Now gently press the top of your toilet roll towards the center using your thumbs, this will form the top of the bat. Turn the Toilet Paper Roll around and press the other side towards the center.

Step 3

Fold your black card in half and draw out your wing for the Toilet Roll Bat making sure your design goes to the fold of the card. Cut out the wing and glue to the back of your bats body.

Step 4

Glue on your googly eyes and you are done. 

Other ideas

  • Decorate the wings, add a mouth or teeth using card or paper to suit.
  • Attach some fishing line so you can hang them around the house.
